WIPO Youth Video Competition as part of World IP Day 2026

In 2026, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is launching a video competition under the theme «Game Changers: IP Powering Sports Innovation» to mark World Intellectual Property Day.

Participants are invited to create a 60 to 90-second video showcasing how intellectual property (IP) rights contribute to the development of sports, how IP rights support and empower creators, inventors and entrepreneurs in the sports industry, and how innovation is shaping the future of sports. These and other topics can form the basis for the video.

The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2026 inclusive.

An online public vote to identify the winner of the People’s Choice Prize will run from April 6 to 19, 2026. The winners will be announced on April 24, 2026.

The creators of the 20 best videos will have the opportunity to attend training at the WIPO Academy.
