On October 7, during the 59th series of meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a meeting was held between Mr. Uladzimir Rabavolau, the Director General of NCIP and Mr. Michal Svantner the Director of the Department for Transition and Developed Countries of WIPO, during the meeting the parties summarized the preliminary results of joint events held in 2019 and discussed an action plan for 2020. Measures planned as follows: to develop a policy in the field of intellectual property for universities and R&Ds, to develop a strategy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of intellectual property for the period of 2021-2030, to conduct training for personnel of technology and innovation support centers, as well as training in the sphere of IP mediation. The parties reached an agreement on the implementation of the WIPO Summer Schools on Intellectual Property project in Belarus.
