The President of the Eurasian Patent Office Saule Tlevlessova welcomed the participants of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Intellectual Property in the Contemporary World: New Challenges and Development Prospects”.
The head of the international organization noted the significant achievements of Belarus in the field of information and communication technologies, inventive activity, and technoparks creation.
Welcoming the wide involvement of young people in inventive activity, S. Tlevlessova highlighted: “Belarus traditionally has very strong positions in education, especially in higher education – the 7th place in the world according to the latest Global Innovation Index. We always get very comprehensive and high-quality works from Belarus for the Eurasian Patent Universiade”.
S. Tlevlessova cited indicators demonstrating a consistently high level of Belarus participation in the Eurasian patent system, and expressed hope that in the nearest future Belarus will become a member of the Protocol on the Protection of Industrial Designs to the Eurasian Patent Convention and become a full-fledged participant in the new regional patent system.
