On May 20, 2024 the National Center of Intellectual Property (the NCIP) was visited by Kirill Grushevsky, Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Belarus in France.
Within the framework of the meeting the parties discussed the issues of interaction between the NCIP and the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) (headquartered in Paris).
Under the sanctions restrictions imposed on the Republic of Belarus, the NCIP faced a number of difficulties in fulfilling its obligations related to CISAC membership.
The support provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the French Republic made it possible to ensure a high level of interaction between the NCIP and CISAC, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the performance of collective management functions by the NCIP.
