The second issue of the journal В«Intellectual Property in BelarusВ» published the article В«Copyright Protection in the People's Republic of China in the Digital AgeВ» by Yu Dianyu (Master's student of the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University) and Elena Svadkovskaya (PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Intellectual Property Law Department of the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University).

The authors consider new problems of copyright protection in the People's Republic of China that have arisen as a result of the rapid development of digital technologies. Some provisions of the Law В«On Copyright of the People's Republic of ChinaВ» are analyzed, as well as some examples from the practice of specialized courts on intellectual property in the digital era. It is concluded that balancing the interests of authors, users and society as a whole will allow to effectively regulate and protect copyrights in the digital age. The study of China's practice and legislative novelties allows to identify the most successful practices and subsequently implement them in the Republic of Belarus.
