Beginners in the field of intellectual property (IP) in Belarus have the opportunity to register for the WIPO Academy's free short training course - DL-001 «Intellectual Property Tutorial for Beginners».

The course aims to provide a brief overview of IP and the reasons why it is a significant economic and cultural asset in today's world and economy.

The course tutorial gives a general idea of the basic concepts in the field of IP, the rights of authors and other right holders, methods and means of protection of the results of intellectual activity, mechanisms of private international law on the protection of rights to IP objects and current developments in this area.

The course is self-paced and available in Russian.

You can register for training until November 30, 2024, either by opening a new account or by using your current personal account on the WIPO Academy website. When registering for any program or course, attention should be paid to the deadlines for registration, opening of the course and taking the final examination.

It should be noted that the National Center of Intellectual Property also provides a basic training course «Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Management», revealing the peculiarities of the national IP system.
