20 years ago, on May 31, 2004, the Regulations of the National Center of Intellectual Property (Regulations) were adopted by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 641.

In accordance with the Regulations, the National Center of Intellectual Property (the NCIP) ensures the protection of rights to intellectual property objects, performs the functions of a patent authority as defined by the legislation and is subordinate to the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.

The Regulations define the main tasks and functions of the NCIP.
