Applications for participation in the national contest to award scholarships of the President of Belarus to talented young scientists for 2026 have been started.

The contest is aimed to evaluate the significant achievements of young researchers in the priority areas of scientific and innovative activities, as well as their contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

Doctoral candidates up to 45 years of age, PhD candidates up to 35 years of age, and scientists without a degree up to 30 years of age as of January 1 of the year in which the nomination takes place are invited to participate.

Applications will be accepted until July 1, 2025.

In order to stimulate the development of creative initiative of young scientists, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 367 of August 11, 2005 «On Improving the Stimulation of Creative Work of Young Scientists», 100 scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus are awarded annually to talented young scientists working in organizations performing research and development in the field of natural, technical, social and human sciences.

Nomination of candidates is performed by organizations at the primary place of work of a talented young scientist, at the meeting of scientific workers or scientific and technical (scientific) council according to the recommendation of the collective of employees of the structural subdivision where he/she works.
