NCIP Takes Part in the IV CIS Media Forum «Media Development in a Changing World»

On November 11, 2025, the IV Media Forum of the CIS Countries «Media Development in a Changing World» (media forum) was held in Moscow.

The event was organized by the International Media Group «Russia Today» with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

During the media forum, experts discussed the current state of the media sphere, its development prospects, and considered effective mechanisms for countering emerging risks within the CIS media industry.

Diana Ivanova, Leading Specialist of the Industrial Property and Treaties Division of the Legal and Human Resources Department of NCIP, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, took part in the session «Media Law: Digital Realities».

The session was devoted to discussing key issues, including: ensuring a fair balance between the protection of authors’ rights and public access to knowledge and culture; the role of artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool for copyright protection and the impact of AI on legislation; and whether information intermediaries should be held liable for copyright infringements on their platforms, etc.
