Within the framework of VIII International Forum “Anti-Counterfeiting-2020” the National Center of Intellectual Property (Republic of Belarus) and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Russian Federation) signed the Memorandum of Understanding and a Memorandum on Providing Access to the PatSearch Patent Information Retrieval System.
The Memorandum of Understanding is aimed at defining general principles for further cooperation between organizations, including experience and patent documents exchange, professional training, interaction within the framework of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers.
The Memorandum on Providing Access to the PatSearch Patent Information Retrieval System sets the procedure according to which Rospatent will provide NCIP with remote access via the Internet to the PatSearch system, containing information about inventions and utility models of Russia (USSR), the CIS countries, Georgia, the Eurasian Patent Office, as well as information retrieval arrays of the world's leading patent offices. Access to the system will be provided with the ability to independently conduct professional information searches. PatSearch system provides access to external specialized databases as well.
The signing of these documents is a decisive step in cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation in the intellectual property field.
