7 May 2026

In Belarus, the Day of Radio, Television and Communications Workers is celebrated annually on May 7, established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 157 of March 26, 1998. The holiday itself dates back to Soviet times, when it was known as Radio Day.

This date also highlights the importance of intellectual property in the development of modern data transmission technologies. We pay tribute to the work of engineers, content creators, and innovators whose contribution to shaping the information space directly determines the quality of our daily lives.

The National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) actively cooperates with television and radio broadcasting companies whose broadcasts use works entrusted to the NCIP for collective management. Through collective rights management mechanisms, authors’ works are broadcast to the public, providing a wide audience with access to the treasury of both national and world cultural heritage.

The leaders in filing applications for registration of trademarks of the Republic of Belarus among organizations operating in the field of radio, television and communications are Belteradiocompany (95 applications), Life (58 applications), Beltelecom (28 applications), MTS (24 applications), Belpochta (15 applications).

Congratulations on the Day of Radio, Television and Communications workers! Let inspiration lead you to new creative heights, and let every project become a bright event in the world of media!
