Belarusian Cinema Day

17 december 2025

Interesting

Belarusian Cinema Day is celebrated in Belarus on December 17. The date was not chosen by chance: on December 17, 1924, the Council of People's Commissars adopted a resolution on film production in the BSSR, and the State Administration for Cinematography and Photography, known as Belgoskino, was established under the People's Commissariat of Education.

Belarusian Cinema Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the importance of intellectual property protection in the field of cinematography. Copyright protection for films, screenplays and other works of art is one of the key aspects of the development of the Belarusian cinema. Respect for intellectual property allows creators to work, knowing that all the results will be protected from misuse.

Among the famous feature films of the Belarusian cinema of recent years are the following: В«Brest FortressВ» by A. Cotta, В«Time to ReturnВ» by I. Pavlov, В«Empty ChurchВ» by M. Maksimov, cartoon В«Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Bison Bublik and the Big EscapeВ» by S. Kadrov, В«KlassnayaВ» by K. Khaletsky and others.

Congratulations on Belarusian Cinema Day! We wish you inspiration, new ideas and successful projects! May the Belarusian cinema continue to develop and delight the audience!
