Iosif Krupsky was born on October 11, 1949 in the village of Kuplin, Pruzhansky District, Brest Region. In 1960, he graduated from the Minsk State Art School named after A.Glebov, and later – from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, receiving the qualification of a painter (1968).

In 1978, he was admitted to the Union of Artists of Belarus. His works are now exhibited in museums and picture galleries in Brest, Baranavichy, Minsk, Pruzhany, in private collections in Belarus and Poland. Iosif Krupsky worked for many years in Brest at the artistic production enterprise «Art».

Iosif Krupski worked in easel painting (landscape, portrait) and monumental and decorative art (mosaic, sgraffito, fresco). In his works, he often addressed the themes of his homeland («The Village of My Childhood», «Pruzhany Swamps», «Palesse»), the Great Patriotic War («Forcing the Dnieper», «Defense of the Brest Railway Station», «Unknown Soldiers»).

In the sgraffito technique (creating images on the walls by draping a pattern on the plaster, which is different from the color of the base of the wall), the works were executed in the «Belarus» cinema (Brest), in the Palace of Culture of the knitwear factory («Eternity Thread», Pinsk).

The mosaic «Youth» on the facade of the sports complex of the Brest Pedagogical University and the painting «Life» in the cinema «Mir» (Brest) also belong to the artist.
