Elena Bundeleva was born on September 18, 1966, in Minsk. In 1993, she graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music, where she studied under People»s Artist of the USSR T. Nizhnikova. She completed an assistant-trainee programme specialising in «singing» at the Academy of Music (awarded a Master of Arts degree).

Since 1994, she has been a soloist at the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. Her repertoire includes more than 20 leading roles: Tatyana in P. Tchaikovsky’s opera «Eugene Onegin», Marfa («The Tsar»s Bride» by N. Rimsky-Korsakov), Micaëla (G. Bizet’s «Carmen») and Pamina (W. A. Mozart’s «The Magic Flute»), Violetta (G. Verdi’s «La Traviata») and others. «The Lady’s Visit» and «The Bear», as well as V. Soltan’s «King Stach’s Wild Hunt».

The «Belarusian Chapel» became the first troupe to perform the role of Gretchen in A. Radziwill»s opera «Faust» (composed in 1820) on the Belarusian opera stage.

She took part in the Belarusian Opera»s touring performances in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Thailand.

She is an associate professor in the Department of Singing and Musical Theatre at the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Her recordings are held in the archives of Belarusian Radio.

For her outstanding creative achievements, high professional skill and contributions to the development of national culture, she was awarded the Francis Skaryna Medal (2008). Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus (2013).
