9th WIPO workgroup session on legal development of Hague Industrial Design International Registration System closed

During December 13 – 15, 2021, the World Intellectual Property Organization held its 9th workgroup session concerning the issues of legal development of Hague Industrial Design International Registration System in Geneva.
The National Center of Intellectual Property was represented by Tatsiana Kavaleuskaya, Head of Legal and Human Resources Department.
Among other numerous issues the workgroup discussed the importance of language platform development in frames of the Hague System by means of introducing additional official languages. Tatsiana Kavaleuskaya noted that the Republic of Belarus, being highly interested in the further cooperation within the Hague System, supports the adding of Russian as one of the official languages of the System. She also added that such measure is believed to widen the System customers coverage and provide its easier accessibility for much more concerned cycles.
