73 computer programs were registered in the first half of 2020, which is 23.7% more compared to the same period in 2019.
The registration of computer programs at the National Center of Intellectual Property is carried out voluntarily, at the discretion of the author or other owner of the exclusive right to a computer program, for the purpose of additional certification of the existence of a computer program, ownership of copyright and other factual circumstances in the amount of information contained in an application for the registration of a computer program and materials attached to it.
Registration does not affect the existing legal relationship in the field of copyright for a computer program and cannot be construed in any way to the detriment of copyright protection.
According to the registration results:
Issuance of a Certificate of registration of a computer program;
Entry of the information about the computer program into the Register of computer programs;
Publication of the information regarding the registered computer program on the official website of the NCIP;
Deposition and storage of computer programs and materials allowing the identification of a computer program, including their scanning and maintenance of an electronic depository.
Additional services:
Issuance of a certificate in English;
Issuance of an additional copy of the certificate to the applicant; Provision of copies of deposited materials; Changes to the name of the copyright holder, to the name of the previously registered computer program.
