A national seminar on invention, innovation, engineering and technical creativity was organised at the Gomel branch of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library on October 30^th, 2024.

The event was organised by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the State Organization «Belarusian Institute for System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere».

During the seminar Alexander Mazanik, Head of the NCIP patent documentation and editorial department presented key aspects of patenting inventions in Belarus, as well as elaborated on methods for conducting a high-quality patent search.

Additionally, the seminar participants discussed basics of engineering creativity and the process of IP creation the technical field, support for startups and the challenges developers face when introducing innovations.
