Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and Hassan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), discussed the results of cooperation in 2023 in Geneva, as well as upcoming activities under the Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 7, 2019.
«Since its establishment, the EEC has relied on the extensive experience of WIPO, an international organization that assists in enforcing intellectual property rights worldwide, in its efforts to promote the development of the economic potential of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in the field of intellectual property. Representatives of our organizations on a regular basis share experience and information, take part in organized events, hold regular working meetings», - said Bakhyt Sultanov.
The parties agreed actively cooperate in the ongoing year, including participation in the Eurasian Economic Forum, the International Anti-Counterfeiting Forum, the WIPO Standing Committees, and to continue organizing joint practical seminars on topical intellectual property issues for the EEU member states.
