Economic aspects and methodology for assessing legally significant actions recognizing the objects of patent duties

The fourth issue of the journal «Intellectual Property in Belarus» published an article by Svetlana Lebedeva (Head of the Planning and Economic Department of the National Center of Intellectual Property) «Economic aspects and methods for assessing legally significant actions recognized as subject to patent duties.»

The author has reviewed regulatory legal acts on pricing issues in the Republic of Belarus, as well as scientific and other literature, which reveals the features of the assessment in monetary terms of legally significant actions (services (works) provided by business entities, for the provision (performance) of which a patent duty is charged) . A methodology has been developed for calculating the cost (prime cost) of legally significant actions for which a patent fee is charged. The advantages and disadvantages of the above methodology are determined. An option is presented for calculating the cost (prime cost) of individual legally significant actions for which a patent fee is charged.
