The VII International Forum of Lawyers and Economists «Topical Issues of Law and Economics» took place on September 24-25, 2024 in Moscow.

As part of panel 2 – «Development of mechanisms for industrial property protection as a driver of trade and economic activity in Eurasia» – Uladzimir Rabavolau, Director General of the National Center of Intellectual Property, made a report online.

In his speech, the head of the NCIP highlighted the prospects for creating a new regional system of legal protection of utility models, and also noted its potential economic effect for the countries participating in the Eurasian Patent Convention.

«The introduction of a Eurasian system of legal protection of utility models will simplify the process of entering markets in the countries of the Eurasian region, which will contribute to the promotion of goods, increase trade turnover between countries and will have a positive impact on the economy of the states parties to the Eurasian Patent Convention», said U. Rabavolau in his report.
