Amendments to the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus available on the NCIP website
On the official website of the National Center of Intellectual Property, in the В«ActualВ» section, a comment is available on the amendments to the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus dated December 7, 1998 (CC), adopted by the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated November 13, 2023 No. 312-Z В«On Amendments to CodesВ». In accordance with the said law, Section V В«Intellectual PropertyВ» of the Civil Code is set out in a new version. The amendments come into force on November 19, 2024.
The work is currently underway to harmonize special legislation with the new provisions of the Civil Code. Until the adoption and entry into force of the relevant amendments to laws, it is necessary to be guided by the norms of the Civil Code, as well as the existing legislative acts to the extent that they do not contradict the Civil Code.
