The board meeting was held at the Republican Scientific and Technical Library with the participation of the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Petkevich.

«All indicators of innovative development and scientific and technical activity in Belarus are in a positive trend. We call 2023 and 2024 the years of records,» said Sergei Shlychkov.

Thus, the share of shipped innovative products in the total volume of shipped products of manufacturing industry organizations by the end of 2024 amounted to 23.4% (with a plan of 20.6%). The share of exports of science-intensive and high-tech products in the total volume of Belarusian exports by the end of January - November 2024 amounted to 38.3% (with a plan of 35%).

The main instrument for implementing state policy in the field of innovation is the State Program for Innovative Development. The volume of products manufactured under the state program in 2024 amounted to Br5.6 billion, of which 46.2% was exported.

«A meeting on entrepreneurship issues in our country was recently held. Our committee is developing legislation in the field of small entrepreneurship within the framework of technology parks. We have more than 270 residents in 16 technology parks. Each resident is an enterprise, a production facility. Accordingly, we will also be working in this area. And in connection with the fact that the Head of State set the task of practical orientation of the scientific sphere, in this regard, in 2023, 2024, and 2025, we have been working and will continue to work on issues of increasing the practical orientation of the activities of scientific teams in the interests of the relevant sectors of the economy,» the Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology emphasized.
