Representatives of SCST and the NCIP laid flowers at the monument-sculpture «Grieving Mother»

On May 8, 2025, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the delegation of the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and subordinate organizations headed by the Chairman Sergey Shlychkov took part in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the monument-sculpture «Grieving Mother» in the Chelyuskintsev Park of Culture and Recreation.

From the National Center for Intellectual Property flowers were laid by the management, the activists of the primary trade union organization and representatives of the Council of Young Scientists.

The participants of the event honored the memory of the victims of fascism with a minute of silence and paid tribute to those who gave us peace, freedom and a calm sky above our heads.

Here, in the Chelyuskintsev Park of Culture and Recreation, in a mass grave Soviet prisoners of war, underground fighters and civilians shot by Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War were buried - more than 10 thousand people in total.
