NCIP participated in the round table «Digital Technologies and Copyright»

A round table «Digital Technologies and Copyright» was held at the National Library of Belarus on World Book and Copyright Day, as well as on the eve of International Intellectual Property Day.

The organizers were the National Library of Belarus and the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP).

The round table was attended by the representatives of the Belarusian State University, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Polotsk State University named after E. Polotskaya, staff of libraries and other information institutions of the country.

On behalf of the NCIP, Deputy Director General Aliaksandr Zayats delivered a welcoming address at the event, emphasizing the role of the National Library in distributing scientific and technical information on intellectual property issues among interested specialists.

During the round table, the NCIP experts presented a number of reports: «The role of artificial intelligence (neural networks) in the creation of works: legal and practical aspects» (specialists of the Theatrical Rights Division of the Copyright and Related Rights Department Daria Kostyuchenko and Ksenia Pavlova), «Features of usage of works in an electronic library» (Leading Specialist of the Industrial Property Law and Treaties Division of the Legal and Human Resources Department Diana Ivanova).
