On June 5, 2025 within the framework of the 35th International Specialized Exhibition «Belagro-2025» a scientific-practical seminar «Legal Protection and Commercialization of the Results of Intellectual Activity» was held. The organizers were the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Center of Intellectual Property (the NCIP).
Aliaksei Kurman, Director General of the NCIP, made a welcoming speech and noted the significant growth of export supplies, including agricultural and processing products related to the agro-industrial complex: «Belarusian products are associated with reliability, environmental friendliness and high quality, and the brand ‘Made in Belarus’ is successfully positioned in various export markets both near and far. In the conditions of increasing competition, protection of products at the national and international levels becomes especially important, and here intellectual property tools play a key role».
During the event, the participants discussed the issues of industrial property protection in the context of innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises and ensuring national food security. The experts touched upon specific aspects of the disposal of industrial property rights in the domestic and foreign markets.
Experts from the NCIP, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Inspectorate for Testing and Protection of Plant Varieties, and the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University participated as speakers.
The seminar was attended by representatives of more than 40 organizations and enterprises - more than 70 participants in total.
The NCIP was awarded a diploma for active participation in the exhibition.
