IV International Scientific and Practical Round Table «IP Law: the history of its formation and prospects»

On March 18, 2025, the IV International Scientific and Practical Seminar «IP Law: the history of its formation and prospects» was held at the Faculty of Law of the Belarusian State University (within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Center of Intellectual Property and BSU).

The round table traditionally brought together leading experts and practitioners to discuss topical issues of the theory and practice of intellectual property law, as well as to consider proposals for improving national legislation, taking into account the historical context and best international practices.

During the event, the NCIP experts spoke about the use of the results of patentability verification of technical products for their subsequent commercialization, key aspects of collective management of economic rights in the Republic of Belarus, inheritance of exclusive intellectual property rights, etc.

Every year, the faculty management and students of BSU participate in the NCIP International Scientific and Practical Conference «Intellectual Property in the Contemporary World: Current Challenges and Development Prospects», publish scientific and practical articles in the journal «Intellectual Property in Belarus».

Students of various specializations regularly present their projects at the NCIP youth competition for the best work in the field of intellectual property. In addition, they undergo a pre-graduate internship at the IP Office with the possibility of further employment. Also, since 2020, a Technology and Innovation Support Center has been operating at BSU with the NCIP assistance.
