Implementation of scientific and technical programmes in the context of national security: a round-table discussion was held at the RSTL

On 18 June 2026, a round-table discussion entitled В«Ensuring national security through the implementation of state scientific and technical programmesВ» was held at the Republican Scientific and Technical Library. The event was organised by the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for the Scientific and Technical Sphere.
The event, organised by the National Centre of Intellectual Property, was attended by First Deputy Director-General Alena Usachova and staff from the agency.
The discussion centred on:
- implementing measures to conserve, restore and enhance the sustainability of biological diversity;
- providing scientific and methodological support for nuclear and radiation safety as a factor in technological sovereignty;
- providing scientific and applied support for the environmental safety of agricultural activities in the context of the adverse effects of climate change;
- applied solutions for meat and poultry processing enterprises;
- scientific research in the field of women’s and children’s health protection as a strategic resource for national security;
- key achievements in research into personal protective equipment for firefighters and others.
