On October 25, 2024, the Eurasian Patent Office hosted a field meeting of the Public Council under the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. The key topic was the discussion of the development of the Eurasian regional system of legal protection of intellectual property: the creation of a system of registration of a single Eurasian trademark and a single Eurasian utility model.

Uladzimir Rabavolau Director General of the National Center of Intellectual Property, took part in the event. He made an online presentation, in which he touched upon the various aspects of building an effective Eurasian system of legal protection of utility models, as well as spoke about the prospects and potential economic benefits for the member countries of the Eurasian Patent Convention.

The meeting also considered proposals for the development of the Eurasian regional system of intellectual property legal protection, as well as issues of cooperation between the BRICS countries' agencies in this area.
