On October 27, 2024, Oleg Eliseenkov, a Belarusian musician, composer, performer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, Associate Professor of the Department of Pop Music of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, passed away.
Oleg Eliseenkov was born on September 21, 1958 in Spas-Demensk (Kaluga region of Russia) in the family of a teacher and musician. He grew up in Molodechno, where his parents moved shortly after the birth of their son. His father was one of the first teachers of the Molodechno Music School, from which the composer himself graduated with a degree in Music Theory.
Oleg Eliseenkov headed the Grand Prix studio of the State Concert Orchestra and was a member of the Belarusian Union of Composers. He also was awarded the Francysk Skaryna Medal (2009).
O. Eliseenkov is the author of music for songs performed by Irina Dorofeeva («Vetraz kakhannya»), Alesya («Don’t Lose», «Birds», «Grin»), and most of the songs in the repertoire of Alexander Solodukha. He influenced the creative work of many musicians, including virtuoso guitarist Valery Didyulya, performers Alexandra Gaiduk, Tatyana Putyrskaya, Pyotr Elfimov.
Oleg Eliseenkov was a member of the Recommendation and Advisory Council created at the National Center of Intellectual Property as an organization for the collective management of economic rights.
The National Center of Intellectual Property offers condolences to the family and colleagues of Oleg Eliseenkov.
