Working meeting with the delegation of the Center of Scientific and Technical Information under the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 25, 2024, a working meeting was held at the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) with the delegation of the Center of Scientific and Technical Information (Center) under the Agency for Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by the Director of the Center, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Azizbek Bahodirov, Deputy Director of the Center, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Farhad Rakhimov and Chief Specialist of the Center Doston Dilmurodov.

Representatives of the Center got acquainted with the key aspects of the state policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of protection of rights to intellectual property, the main activities of the patent office and the existing digital infrastructure of the NCIP. The meeting participants also determined further steps to develop bilateral cooperation.

An important step towards strengthening the legal protection of intellectual property in both countries was the signing on September 13, 2018 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of protection of industrial property, February 8, 2024 – Protocol on cooperation in the field of intellectual property between the National Center of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
