«We aim to create a sustainable national IP system for accelerated scientific, technological and innovative development of Belarus» (U.Rabavolau)

On June 21, 2024, Minsk hosted the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference «Main Directions of Improvement of the National Security System». The event was organized by the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus and the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

Uladzimir Rabavolau Director General of the National Center of Intellectual Property, made a report "The Role of Intellectual Property in Ensuring Scientific and Technological Security of the Republic of Belarus" within the event, in which he emphasized the importance of forming a sustainable national system of intellectual property, which has an impact on the functioning of scientific and technological and innovation spheres, ensuring, among other things, the scientific and technological security of the country.

«We are taking measures to improve the system of intellectual property protection in Belarus and its effective management, including legislative and enforcement mechanisms, stimulation of applicant activity, development of a network of technology and innovation support centers, practice-oriented educational programs and international cooperation», – U.Rabavolau said.
