On June 21, 2024, on the threshold of the Day of national memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War and genocide of the Belarusian people, the activity of the primary trade union organization of the National Center of Intellectual Property and representatives of the Council of Young Scientists of the Department visited the Military Cemetery in Minsk, where they honored the memory of the fallen and laid flowers at the foot of the War Memorial, on the stele of which the names of 440 servicemen who died during the Great Patriotic War are inscribed.

Minsk Military Cemetery is one of the oldest necropolises within the city limits, where famous people of Belarus are buried.

After the Great Patriotic War here were reburied the remains of participants of the Minsk underground, in other mass graves are buried 4 soldiers who died during the liberation of Minsk. In addition, in the north-western part of the cemetery from the side of Kozlov Street were made 42 mass graves and more than 500 single graves, in which are buried more than 1000 soldiers who died in battles with Nazi invaders. In 1965 a monument - a sculpture of a warrior - was erected on the mass graves.
