On September 9-10, 2024, the 45th (31st regular) meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) took place in Moscow, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Eurasian Patent Convention.

The event was attended by the delegation of the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) headed by the authorized representative of the Republic of Belarus in the EAPO Administrative Council, Director General of NCIP Uladzimir Rabavolau.

On the margins of the Administrative Council meeting, the Eurasian Patent Office and the Offices of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia and Tajikistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Eurasian Accelerated Patent Prosecution Program. The program is aimed at developing expert interaction and harmonization of practices between the Offices. The project will become an effective tool to reduce costs for applicants and improve the quality of work of offices.
