On June 6, 2024 the Round Table «Intellectual Property and Information Technologies» was held within the framework of the VII Belarusian ICT Summit of the 30th International ICT Forum «TIBO 2024».

The organizers were the State Committee on Science and Technology (SCST), the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP), the closed JSC «Technics and Communications».

At the opening of the Round Table, Mr. Sergey Shlychkov, Chairman of the SCST, Mr. Vadim Bogush, Rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Mr. Uladzimir Rabavolau, Director General of NCIP, addressed the participants with welcoming words.

The event discussed the issues of legal regulation of creation and use of software and video games, open licenses and free software, the legal nature of virtual property in the context of intellectual property, technologies to protect against cyber-squatting and counterfeiting, as well as state support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
