Technological advances have made it possible for everyone to take photographs, which leads to a situation where the subjects of the photographs - other persons - may be unaware of the purpose of their images. This raises the need to develop a comprehensive regulation to reduce the uncertainty of the use of third-party images. The author emphasizes that the solution should not be limited to copyright or personal data protection legislation. It is important to take into account the technological neutrality of the norms, as digitalization has led to the emergence of new image creation tools, including artificial intelligence.
